Taitori invited customers and partners to watch the Jukurit vs. Kiekko-Espoo game at Mikkeli’s Let’s Go Arena on November 2, 2024. The goal was to spend time together enjoying a VIP box experience and to explore how the Taitori for Arena app can elevate the visitor experience to a new level. With the app’s smooth pre-planning capabilities, guests could park their cars in VIP parking and enter the box using a QR code. The event began with a greeting from Ville Hyvärinen of Jukurit HC Oy. Following this, Perttu Ahvenainen from Taitori presented the company’s services while guests enjoyed welcome drinks.
Digitalizing ice rink booking and sales services enhances operations
Jukurit has piloted the Taitori for Arena app. With it, the booking status of the VIP boxes is available in real-time, making sales work smoothly. In addition to the boxes, fan products, catering, and additional services are managed through the app. It is particularly important to obtain visitor data from VIP events.
”Now we can also get visitor data from the guests in the boxes. The same applies to corporate season tickets, which may have multiple users,” says Hyvärinen from Jukurit.
Timely additional sales for sports clubs using visitor data
With the Taitori for Arena app, visitors to games and events can be offered a new opportunity to join the VIP Box Club. Ice rinks can now sell corporate clients VIP Box Club packages, which include a certain number of representatives from the desired industry, in addition to the box itself.
”This way, a company can enjoy a successful game night in the box and simultaneously promote sales within the target group,” says Ahvenainen.
Victory toasts can also be ordered to the neighboring box
Ilona Savolainen from Taitori dropped the puck, and Ahvenainen conducted a pre-game interview at Mosse’s Grill with Jukurit’s center Santeri Koskela as the guest. The game started successfully. During the excitement of the game, additional catering requests may arise, and orders can be made online during the game using the app. You can also order a greeting from the team captain or player to the box after the game, or whatever services the sports club wants to offer.
”Victory toasts or a cheer round can also be ordered to the neighboring box,” Ahvenainen says enthusiastically.
A smooth experience for the event organizer
“Planning a VIP box event involves many considerations,” says Alina Leppik from Taitori, who was involved in organizing the event. The Taitori for Arena app helps from the invitation stage onwards, ensuring that catering and fan products are ordered, allergies and parking needs are taken into account. A customizable and branded invitation with the company’s logo visibility are important elements for comprehensive brand building. However, the best part of the event was the special atmosphere in the box between the invited guests and the organizers. Feedback collected through the app showed a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 100 for the VIP box experience.
How did the score prediction go?
During the check-in phase, visitors can enter their score predictions for the game, and the organizer can view the data in the portal. There were some interesting twists, as Kiekko-Espoo’s Matti Järvinen was given a one-game suspension for using a cross-check. This time, the game ended with the visitors winning in overtime. One point was brought home to Mikkeli, although the victory toasts indeed went to the neighboring box this time.
Taitori thanks Jukurit for the fantastic piloting opportunity, which provided valuable real-life experience for product development as well.
