Suur-Savo Electricity started planning the office project in 2024. The previous work environment was located in an old property where everyone had their own office room. It was known from the early stages of planning that the nature of space usage would change as they move to new office spaces.
“The aim was to create modern shared spaces where even the CEO would not have a designated office. It was desired that users would reserve a workspace or meeting room as needed, whether it was a quiet workspace or a need for a video conference room. At the same time, it was noticed that there was also a need for space reservation system and visitor management,” says Marko Poutanen, HSE Manager of the Suur-Savo Electricity Group.
The Taitori for Office system included all the necessary features for booking both meeting and workspaces as well as visitor management, and it was chosen as the solution to be implemented in the new premises.
Sustainable practices reflected in operations
Suur-Savo Electricity also pays attention to sustainability, and one of the guiding principles of its operations is not to steal from future generations.
This is also reflected in modern building technology. For example, ventilation is automated so that based on the number of people and their movement, ventilation either intensifies or decreases. The room temperature automatically drops when the space is not in use.
According to Poutanen, it is interesting to follow how Taitori’s systems develop as working methods evolve and diversify. Entrepreneur Perttu Ahvenainen already has interesting news about this, as Taitori is developing a new type of AI Bot suitable for space and resource reservations. He believes that people’s working methods and consequently the use of reservation services are becoming more chat-oriented. Thus, the user experience of reservation systems is also desired to be taken in a proactive direction by utilizing artificial intelligence.
Working and space reservations go hand in hand
Cooperation with Taitori has gone smoothly and in good collaboration overall. Issues that have arisen have been reviewed together and we have moved forward smoothly again. “Working and space reservations go hand in hand with us,” says Poutanen with satisfaction.
